Designing Curriculum to Help Students Succeed After Graduation
Linda Jarvin
Paris College of Art, France
What skills, competencies and personal attributes contribute to a successful career? We will present a model of talent development conceptualized by Rena Subotnik and Linda Jarvin and applied in several domains (general academics, mathematics, performing arts) and discuss implications for formal and informal educational settings. Workshop participants will be asked to reflect on how their educational institution or program prepares students for life and will start designing a curriculum to help students develop the psycho-social skills that they need to be successful.
